Nestled into the wooded hillsides of Webb City, Missouri, Earthy Elegance is a thoughtfully reimagined family home designed to reflect both its natural surroundings and the people who call it home. After more than a decade in the home, the owners had a clear understanding of how they lived, entertained, and wanted their spaces to feel. Our role was to elevate a beloved home to reflect both their personal style and the life they had built there.
The home's beautiful setting became an important source of inspiration throughout the design process. Surrounded by mature trees, terraced landscaping, and expansive views, the interiors were reimagined through a palette of warm earth tones, softened greens, natural materials, and layered textures that create a seamless connection between indoors and out.
A significant portion of the transformation focused on improving functionality and flow. In the kitchen, bar, and scullery areas, walls were reconfigured to create distinct yet connected spaces tailored to the family's lifestyle. A striking 86-inch LaCanche range now serves as the focal point of the kitchen. The addition of a dedicated scullery, expanded pantry, integrated coffee station, and entertaining bar created purposeful zones for cooking, hosting, and everyday living while improving circulation throughout the main floor.
The lower level underwent an equally dramatic transformation. Once underutilized and disconnected, the basement was reimagined as a destination for gathering and recreation. A reconfigured exercise room, custom wine lounge, basement kitchen, and inviting entertainment spaces create an environment designed to bring family and friends together.
Once dark and dated, the home now feels light, serene, and welcoming. The result is a sophisticated family retreat that balances beauty and function, equally suited for intimate evenings at home and large-scale entertaining.
